Supporting Community Wellbeing in Mablethorpe

The Campus Community Garden project, including the Open Day, has been funded by East Lindsey District Council. Its aim is to:

  • Improve health and wellbeing

  • Build confidence and skills

  • Reduce social isolation

  • Strengthen community connections in Mablethorpe

By creating an inclusive outdoor space, the garden offers residents a place to relax, socialise, and learn new skills.

Working in Partnership

The event was made possible with the support of dedicated volunteers and valuable partnerships with:

  • Lincolnshire Outdoor Learning

  • Wilder Coast Collective

Both organisations hosted stalls and activities, adding expertise and enriching the visitor experience.

Volunteers who helped establish and maintain the garden also played a key role on the day, showcasing the power of community-led projects.

“It’s great to see so many kids getting involved.” – Garden volunteer

Help Choose the Garden’s Official Name

Visitors also had the opportunity to take part in an exciting naming competition for the garden. The community is invited to help decide its official name.

Our competition closes on Friday 26th June - to take part, visit the Campus.

Get Involved: Weekly Gardening Sessions

Following the success of the Open Day, there has been a surge of interest in the weekly gardening sessions. These sessions will continue, led by Ashley from Lincolnshire Outdoor Learning for another year.

The sessions are a great opportunity to:

  • Learn gardening skills

  • Meet new people

  • Support a local community project

  • Spend time outdoors in a welcoming environment

Building a Greener, Stronger Future

We look forward to seeing the garden continue to grow and flourish with the support of local residents and partners.
