The Campus for Future Living in Mablethorpe is celebrating its first birthday with a full day of activity designed to bring people together and mark a year of connection on 10th June.

Since opening in June 2025, the Campus on Stanley Avenue, has quickly become a vital hub where the local community can connect, build skills, improve their health and enhance their wellbeing.

Owned by East Lindsey District Council and operated by Acis Group, the Campus was made possible with £8.6 million in funding from the Government’s Towns Fund overseen by Connected Coast.

Our one year celebration events looks like this:

  • The celebrations will begin with a morning Ideas Summit, bringing together Campus members, partners and stakeholders to share insights, explore opportunities and help shape the future of the Campus and its role in supporting the community. This is for members only.

  • The day will also see the official launch of East Lindsey District Council’s new Age-friendly Assessment Report, highlighting a shared commitment to helping people live healthier, more independent and fulfilling lives for longer.

  • From 1.30pm, the Campus opens up to the whole community for free food, fun activities for all the family and an inside look at the Campus.

Claire Woodward, Director of Community Investment at Acis Group, said: “It would be a huge understatement to say I’m proud of what the Campus has delivered for the community in Mablethorpe in just one year.

“The impact on everything from isolation and wellbeing to health and education has been phenomenal and seeing how many people walk through those doors every day, knowing that they have a purpose to be there and that they get a sense of belonging and security, is truly humbling.

“Working with East Lindsey District Council, we have created a truly unique community hub which has quickly become a vital centre of connection, learning and wellbeing. We’re never complacent, however, and we’re excited to continue developing this amazing place to offer even more to the community in future.”

The celebration builds on the success of the Campus’s opening day in 2025, which welcomed more than 400 visitors from across Mablethorpe and beyond.

Since then, the Campus has grown into a thriving space that continues to support residents, students, professionals and community groups.

Cllr William Gray, Portfolio Holder for Communities and Better Ageing at East Lindsey District Council, said: “The Campus for Future Living is at the heart of our commitment to creating new opportunities for health and wellbeing, bringing together partners to ensure services and facilities are accessible for all. It is therefore fitting that we mark the Campus’ first anniversary by celebrating our Ageing Well ambassadors and launching the Ageing Well report.

“As an Ageing Better district, East Lindsey is dedicated to listening to and supporting the needs of older residents, and I am proud to see this reflected in both the report and the work taking place across the Campus.

"Over the past 12 months, it has been inspiring to watch the Campus grow into the thriving hub of support, collaboration and opportunity we always believed it would be. I would warmly encourage everyone to join us on June 10, discover what is on offer, and help us celebrate this important milestone.”

The building includes consultation rooms, flexible training and meeting spaces, and the popular Wayfinder Café, which is open Monday to Friday.

Over the past year, several amazing partners have either moved in to call Campus home or have contributed to its success:

  • Clip

  • Riverside Training

  • Connected Coast

  • Lincoln Institute of Rural and Coastal Health

  • Seven Districts Coffee

  • Potter Podiatry

The first birthday event reflects the Campus’s ongoing mission: to be more than just a building, but a welcoming, inclusive space where people can come together, share ideas, and access the support they need to thrive.

Everyone is invited to join the celebrations, find out what’s happening at the Campus, and be part of its next chapter.
