More than 400 people visited the Campus for Future Living in Mablethorpe on Thursday 12 June to mark its official opening.
The launch day was a great success, with free health checks, food tastings, interactive stalls, course tasters and more. Families, students, professionals and community groups came together to explore the new space and find out what it can offer.
Campus for Future Living, located on Stanley Avenue, is a new facility designed to improve health and wellbeing and help local people build skills and connections. It is owned by East Lindsey District Council and run by Acis Group, following £8.6 million in funding from the Government’s Towns Fund.
The building includes consultation rooms, training and meeting spaces, and the Wayfinder Café, which is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
A highlight of the event was the ribbon cutting, led by Victoria Atkins MP and Luke Smith-Ridehalgh, a local resident who received a warm round of applause from the crowd of over 100 people watching.
Councillor William Gray said: “The Campus for Future Living is a game-changer for Mablethorpe. It’s more than a building – it’s a hub of opportunity, learning and support that will make a real difference to people’s lives.”
Claire Woodward from Acis Group added: “Whether you’re coming for a course, a coffee, or a conversation – everyone is welcome here. The brilliant turnout on launch day shows how important this place is to the local community.”
The day also featured stalls and activities run by partners including the University of Lincoln, Specsavers, Clip and Connected Coast, who will all play a role in the Campus going forward.
The Campus is now open to the public Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Everyone is welcome to visit, find out what’s happening, and enjoy a drink or bite to eat in the café.
