Exciting progress is being made on the Campus for Future Living (CFFL) in Mablethorpe, with key contracts now signed and the internal fit-out phase well underway. Acis Group and East Lindsey District Council (ELDC) are pleased to share this significant update as the project moves closer to completion, with the Campus set to open its doors in April 2025, ahead of our Grand Opening event on 12 June 2025.
The official signing of partnership contracts marks a major milestone in the development of the £8 million Towns Fund-supported initiative, reinforcing the strong collaboration between Acis Group, East Lindsey District Council, and other key stakeholders. The agreement formalises the commitment to delivering a state-of-the-art facility that will provide vital health, wellbeing, and economic opportunities for the region.
Claire Woodward, Director of Community Investment at Acis Group, commented:
“This is a really exciting moment for the Campus for Future Living. With contracts signed and work progressing at pace, we are moving ever closer to delivering a facility that will make a lasting impact on the community. The internal fit-out is coming along well, and we’re on track to open our doors in April. We look forward to welcoming people into this incredible space, which will support skills development, health innovation, and community engagement.”
The internal fit-out of the building is progressing on schedule, bringing the vision of a dynamic, multi-purpose space to life. Once completed, the campus will be home to a range of partners, including the University of Lincoln, which will lead pioneering research into coastal inequalities, shaping future services and policy for coastal communities. The new facility will also host Acis Group’s Clip learning centre,(known locally as Mablethorpe College) relocating from Seacroft Road to offer an expanded range of services for local people.
Councillor William Gray, reflected on the project’s journey:
“This project has been a long-term ambition, and it’s fantastic to see it coming to fruition. The signing of contracts is a huge step forward, and the continued progress on the building means we are now just months away from opening. This campus will be a game-changer for Mablethorpe, providing much-needed facilities and opportunities for people in our coastal communities.”
The campus will also include a vibrant café space, designed to foster connections between visitors, community members, and professionals, creating an accessible and welcoming environment for all.
Emily Spicer, Assistant Director for Wellbeing and Community Leadership at ELDC, added:
“The Campus for Future Living is a shining example of what can be achieved through collaboration and investment. As construction continues to progress, we are seeing the campus take shape as a space that will support innovation, health, and skills development. We are incredibly excited for what’s to come and look forward to celebrating its official opening this year.”
With the final phases of work now in motion, the countdown is on to the much-anticipated launch of the Campus for Future Living, a facility that will leave a lasting legacy for Mablethorpe and beyond.
